Etymology

From Medieval Latin thaumatūrgus, from Ancient Greek θαυματουργός (thaumatourgós), from θαύματο- (thaúmato-, “marvel”) + -ουργός (-ourgós, “worker, maker”). Doublet of thaumaturgus.
